- Rated 5 out of 5by Roman Semyonov, 7 years agoThe best "New Tab Replacement" extension in my opinion.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Sylwester, 7 years agoAfter Quantum the excellent extension SpeedDial was no longer compatible and I installed this since it could read my old saved config, hoever that does not make this extension useful.
I had cropped sections of the pages to be the thumbnails opf the dials and they were scrollable with the mouse wheel.
As the last nail the dials doesn't get update every n minutes like the original rather than only manually. My dials now are months old since they don't even use the buffers.
This extension is utterly useless. Don't bother installing this difunctional garbage. Better to downgrade FF to get the old Speed Dial back.Developer response
posted 7 years agoWell, what can I say...
Enjoy Firefox 56 forever :-D
Also I would like to point out that I'm working on this add-on solo for more than 15 months and nobody is paying me for that!
Have a nice day :)

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13031889, 7 years agoI cannot live without this extension. After the major FF upgrade, my SpeedDial of Joseph Del Rio was incompatible. My search turned up Juraj's Group Speed Dial.
I was delighted and after a day's playing around with it, I just had to go Pro - I could recover the old dials by importing from Del Rio's Speed Dial and now I am soooo happy - everything works like clockwork
.
By the way, if you also use both FF and Chrome, this is a massive blessing to have your speed dials synchronized.
Thank you Juraj! I am one great fan of yours!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Andrew E., 7 years agoHi!
It's quite a nice alternative to Speed Dial which I've used for so many years. And I didn't have any serious troubles with it since I've switched to it after Speed Dial had died. But now, after the last update occurred, something strange happens to it.
My Firefox doesn't have a homepage, I always set it as about:home and it works just fine. It still works but now, when I open FF, after downloading about:home, it automatically starts to download Dial #10 from 1st group of my GSD set. It doesn't depend on which site is set in this dial, it doesn't depend on the version of Firefox (I've tried to switch from v. 57.0.4 to v. 58 - nothing has changed after it). When I clear the dial, everything's alright, only about:home is downloaded as usual.
I don't know whether this issue is caused by new version of GSD or not. It's not very serious but quite annoying like any other things occurring without my intention. If there's any way to fix this issue, I would be glad to see it fixed. It's not very convenient to keep that Dial #10 cleared forever:)
As for the rest, Group Speed Dial is fine. Keep up the good work!Developer response
posted 7 years agoHello,
Well this sounds like something related to the latest update where I fixed broken dialing to the dial 10 using Ctrl + 0 short-key.
But opening dial number 10 should happen ONLY if you have "Ctrl + Number for Group Speed Dial" add-on installed and only if you press "Ctrl + 0" or "Alt + 0".
Could you please send me the list of add-ons you have installed to my support e-mail?
Anyway this sounds quite bad, I think I know a way how to fix it (but still I would like to know the cause first), I will probably release the fix in few hours.
Thank you for reporting it (but please, use my e-mail next time, it's easier for me to track bug there).
Have a nice day :)
Best regards,
Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13733567, 7 years agoI installed a number of 'other' speed dial extensions just now.
I was not satisfied with any of them.
Considering doing a rollback on Firefox to ver 54 when I figured I would give this extension ONE MORE TRY.
I installed it again and restarted my browser and it started working again. All the features came back but I lost my dials because I didn't do a back up.
I like that I can add groups.
I like that I can take a screenshot and set that as my image for the dial.
I like that I can drag and drop my dials.
I like that I can color code my groups.
I believe if there was a way to drag a page and drop it to a new dial this extension would be fantastic.
I don't know what caused the extension to fail.
I now know to back up my dials and I have synced them on the cloud too.
I sincerely hope this is the end of my speed dial frustration.
Now if someone could make a BBCode Xtra replacement I'd be happy with this new firefox.Developer response
posted 7 years agoHello again,
Regarding restoring your old dials - if you are on Windows, you should be able to use "Windows Restore point" feature to restore your profile in a way that should restore your dials as well.
I really hope this helps.

Juraj Mäsiar - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13732360, 7 years agoGood add-on. I used speed dail before but switched because of the firefox-update. This is a good alternative.
Missing is a feature to auto-update the thumbnails but the developer promised to implement this.
For the last few days this add-on got slower and slower. Pressing the home-button leads to 3-4 sec. of unresponsiveness of firefox and black thumbnails. After this time the thumbnails show up one by one so i need ~10 sec. before i can use my dails-page (im not using cloud-dail). Im not really sure what changed. Before this groupspeeddail showed very quick responses.
Edit: The problem was Ghostery. Without Ghostery everything is fine. So back to 5 stars. A compability-fix would be nice tho.Developer response
posted 7 years agoHello,
There were no changes that could affect performance in such way.
The most probable cause is incompatibility with some other add-on. There are known performance issues if you have "Ghostery" add-on installed.
Please, write me to my support e-mail what add-ons do you have installed.
You can also try to disable all other add-ons to see, whether it helps.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12310305, 7 years agoMerci mille fois pour cette appli.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13713607, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13119159, 7 years agoFantastic. Period. Been using various renditions of Speed Dial for many years now. This one is by far the best. Practically automatic. Ridiculously easy to set up. Anyone giving this a bad review has got personal issues.
I've found only one issue with it. The options button on the native FF Addons page doesn't open options. It opens the description page for the addon, but that isn't really an issue because there is more than one way to open the options from within the app.
