About this extension
Hide Distractions helps you inspect and simplify webpages in Firefox (Desktop and Android):
Everything runs locally. No accounts, analytics, or remote code.
Visual customization, accessibility improvements, and front-end debugging on pages you are already viewing. It only changes how content is displayed in your browser. It does not fetch, host, or redistribute third-party content, and it cannot access material that was not loaded into the page.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable law and website terms.

- Accessibility: reduce visual clutter, sticky chrome, or overlapping UI that makes a page harder to read or navigate
- Debugging: inspect layout issues by temporarily removing elements and stepping through client-side DOM/CSS changes with Rewind
- Focused reading: hide non-essential blocks on pages you visit often; rules are saved per origin + pathname (query strings ignored)
- Open the toolbar popup (on Android: Firefox menu → Extensions)
- Start the visual picker, select an element, and confirm with Hide
- Use Parent / Child if the wrong node is selected; Undo for the last hide in the session
- Restore individual items or all rules for the current page from the popup
- Use Restore scroll now when a page disables scrolling (optional per-site auto-restore is off by default)
- Use Show / Hide on a saved rule to preview without deleting it
- Open Docs in the popup for the built-in user guide
