Just what I was looking for... for ages ! It works fine and the hotkey is a QoL !
Suggestion : it needs one more option that let us move our mouse without showing the UI. Sure, there's an "Invert" option, but that's not the same, because in that case, moving the mouse hides controls. So you cant use controls...
I would like my mouse has no effect on the UI at all ; and I only show or hide controls by pressing "H".
So moving the mouse do nothing, but I still can use it to click on controls when I need it !
But thanks, I really appreciate this addon ! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15624791, 5 years agoDoes exactly what I was looking for, customizable, superb Firefox-exclusive addon
- Rated 5 out of 5by Dimushka, 5 years agoGood thing. I can see all the subtitles while using full screen mode by dragging mouse to the left border as well as to the right one.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Laserbeak, 6 years agoThanks ! This is an indispensable lifesaver ! Dunno why my YouTube Controls don't auto-hide in fullscreen, couldn't debug it, I was forced to use Safe Mode but now it can be hidden --hats off to you !!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13960627, 6 years agoPlease, make the same thing for "THEATER" mode, so controls will only appear when I hover my mouse cursor near the bottom of a video container.
THANKS! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14751047, 6 years agoIt does exactly what it's supposed to do, but I kind of wish it also had an option to do it when not in fullscreen. Still great though!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14562028, 6 years agoTook some time to understand the settings, but it works awesome otherwise. Makes the YouTube experience a lot more responsive and enjoyable. Can't believe YouTube hasn't added these features by default yet.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Xeys, 6 years agoThis worked perfectly for a while but now it's stopped working properly, basically I have to refresh the youtube video every time for it to work, which leads me to wonder, why is that the case? what is not happening that the refresh fixes?
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14351800, 6 years agoThis extension works well, when it works. It often just... stops working for extended periods time making this essentially useless.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13817324, 6 years agoThe latest update broke the add-on. Just a few hours ago, it worked fine, but now it does nothing, trigger key or no.
Rolling back to the last update fixed it, so it is definitely the latest update at fault. Still, I'll give a 5-star since the old version still works as it should. - Rated 5 out of 5by Yuio, 6 years agoThe perfect lightweight application for people who frequent YouTube a lot.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Fred, 6 years agoIt did not make any difference. Nothing disappeared faster when I put the curser to the right screen border than without this addon.
- Rated 5 out of 5by tmk333, 6 years agoWorks great, also is it possible to make it work with embed youtube videos?

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14129758, 6 years agoGreat addon, could be improved by adding the option to hide the controls on the right border

- Rated 4 out of 5by AlmostUselessPenguin, 7 years agoGreat for quickly hiding the controls. Would give it 5 but I'd prefer to use the right side of the screen. Perhaps this could be a future update.
- Rated 5 out of 5by AndyL964, 7 years agoJust what I needed: no more controls blocking content when paused or seeking via arrow keys.
Doesn't work for embeds, sadly.
