- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12297434, 6 years agoExcellent! This add-on is exactly what I was looking for without knowing it!
Very good job!
Just a small problem: at first, the feature does not work on some page, until I check / uncheck ALL options at least once (!).
Error as seen in the console :
TypeError: prefs.copyToClipboard is undefined (same with "prefs.alwaysHighlight")
[Firefox 62.0b15 (64 bits, on Ubuntu Linux 18.04), HighlightAll 2.1] - Rated 4 out of 5by randomofamber, 6 years agoNice... But It would be the best, if it will be connected with findbar...
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14192312, 6 years agoHighlight disappears with one mouse click.
Can only highlight one keyword at a time. Developer response
posted 6 years agoBy default the extension must be activated using the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-F8). Then only you can select some text to get automatically all instances highlighted.- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14180704, 6 years agoWhy does this want access data for all websites? That's ridiculous and suspicious.
Developer response
posted 6 years ago"Suspicious": totally agree.
"Ridiculous": not really. The add-on interacts with the page content to find the text you want to highlight. And it needs to be able to do it for any site. That's what "accessing data" is about. Unfortunately Firefox developers didn't find a more specific way to alert users.
You can read https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/permission-request-messages-firefox-extensions for more information.
But in any case, if you don't feel confident in what you are about to install, it is generally best to not install it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12531136, 7 years agoThis search plugin add the auto-highlight and scroll-bar-highlight feature. This is very helpful to anyone who want to quickly locate search results in an webpage. Recommend to give it a try.
- Rated 5 out of 5by CanIregisterThisTime, 7 years agoThis highlighter does what it says it will do so five stars, but I'm going to uninstall it because in the end it doesn't really do very much that you cannot do natively. I wish I could find a more feature-rich highlighter. I'd like to have predefined words or phrases that are automatically highlighted when I open a page, or if not automatically, will highlight when a toolbar button or hotkey is pressed.
- Rated 4 out of 5by mantheakis, 7 years agoEnables you to select words and right-click on them to highlight all instances on current page. Useful when hunting keywords in search-result pages.

posted 6 years agoPlease use the contact information in case of trouble using the extension, I'll do my best to help. - Rated 4 out of 5by RexYcn, 7 years ago插件功能:只是代替Ctrl+F的高亮功能。
- Rated 4 out of 5by syldub, 7 years agoNow that you implemented the display of search markers beside the scrollbar, your extension really ROCKS!!
Just an enhancement suggestion: when using a custom color, could you also change the color of the search markers in the scrollbar to be the same color as well? - Rated 5 out of 5by insecure, 7 years agoFinally! Search markers!
Congratulations, now it is the only usable highlighter extension available. - Rated 1 out of 5by Troy DeUnix, 7 years agoMakes Copy/Paste Hotkeys stop working. Must right click and choose "Copy" to copy anything. High drain for a simple funciton, disabling core functionality makes it big mistake though it sounds rather helpful.

Feel free to get in touch with me through the contact form at http://jgoudey.free.fr/highlightall/contact.php5. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12289046, 7 years agoActivates with ctrl+F8. I have a macbook, and my keyboard does not have F8. Went to website and could find no information on this.
Please make this more mac friendly. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 6490726, 7 years agoUnfortunately your contact form doesn't work (says mailserver down), so let me add some feature suggestion here:
1. Multi selection.
While holding CTRL it is possible to make multiple non-contiguous text selections (either by dragging the mouse or double clicking on words for example). Would it be possible to search for each of these selections automatically and highlight them in different colors? This would be very useful if you'd want to see where certain selections appear close to each other again on a page.
2. Trigger highlight by context menu
I usually select text with my mouse so the keyboard shortcut is a bit "far away" (and I don't want to have highlight activated all the time). Would it be possible to add a context menu entry to trigger the highlighting?
3. Keep the highlight even if the selection is reset
It would also be nice if the highlight could be kept active until either a new selection is made or highlight is made by the context menu added in 2, depending on how the highlight was triggered.Developer response
posted 7 years agoThanks for the suggestions. I am working on evolutions that will make it possible. Point 2) coming soon. Stay tuned ! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12812696, 7 years agoJust updated from Firefox 54 to Firefox 56 and it doesn't work in 56. This is already known and the developer has retooled it for Firefox 57; this review is just to let any other new Firefox 56 users who don't want to install Firefox 57 know that Highlight All is the culprit causing anomalies in their new Firefox 56 upgrade. I have about thirty extensions installed and I had to disable them one by one to find out it was Highlight All interfering with keyboard shortcuts. Unfortunately no version of Highlight All works in Firefox 56 and I don't want to upgrade to 57 and risk losing even more extensions, so for me Highlight All is no more. Regrettably, unless a rollback version is created (which is admittedly a lot to ask), I must snuff four stars that once blazed bright.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13519441, 7 years agoI am glad if you provide the button of icon on toolbar which activates HighlightAll, the great add-on.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13485498, 7 years agoAll work fine in 57, but reinstall of addon is needed.
