by Johs, 8 months agoI completly supprt this addon. it i a time saver ween you have a website that dose not support yt-dlp (formerly known a youtube-dl).
It conecnts the stream files thogeter. Also it is useful to refresh the page to get all of the strings, than it is easyer to find the string you want.

Some tips: m3u8 link detected in firefox work better in potplayer, I think the reason is that jellyfin sends too much encoding option to chrome in the link. - Rated 5 out of 5by Sonic111, a month ago

To the user below complaining there is no toolbar button, look for the jigsaw-shaped icon in the top right-hand corner, click it and the menu should contain the icon for Stream Detector (if not, ensure you have the add-on enabled, and if in private browser ensure you have "allow in private session" checked in the options) - Rated 4 out of 5by Hedayati, 4 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14673123, 4 months agoThere is no icon visible in the toolbar. Even when I manually try to customize the toolbar, an icon for this add-on doesn't exist in the pool of available icons. Un- and re-installing doesn't help either. So, I finally deleted it...

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18247428, a year agoThis does not download things. However: if you have ffmpeg on your computer already, you can have this detect an embedded video in a web page and it can generate the ffmpeg command you need to download the video.
Granted, so far I've only tried it one time. But it worked! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14821525, a year ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by mortyobnoxious, a year agoIt was working great but now most of the time, I have to reload the page for it to work.
It doesn't capture anything unless you reload the page. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17530236, a year ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by dw5, a year agoVery nice addon, although it be nice if MPV or VLC (or both) were included by default (instead of user custom command), also maybe in settings a filter list of some sort so video title (based on page title) you can add "[space]- Websitenamehere" and on new line something else...
