by Firefox user 18745513, 20 days agoThey stole commissions from creators by modifying the affiliate links of the creators that were sponsored, thus pocketing the money for themselves, even if they did nothing to earn it. This would happen when you applied a coupon, used honey gold offers or simply clicked "Got it" when they told you they didn't find anything. Basically, any click resulted in them stealing the commission. That's not all. They also screwed over the customers. Honey tells you the coupons they found are the best possible offer they found by scouring the internet, but that's not true. Stores that partnered with Honey had the ability to tell them which coupons they wanted them to use. For example, say there is a 20% off coupon you can find by searching manually, but the store doesn't want you to find that. So they tell Honey to not use that one, and only show you a 5% discount. So at checkout, you get the popup that a coupon was found, and you apply it. By doing this, you don't go searching for a better one by yourself, because Honey supposedly already gave you the best one. Thus, you leave feeling like you got the best deal, when there were much better coupons out there. I've tried many times to use it but it always tells me codes don't work when the codes I put in myself that are legit say it don't. but once I turn it off and uninstalled it, it works... at this point I think everyone can understand where I'm coming from.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18776713, 18 hours agoThe giftcard redeem is a lie. I tried about 10 times to get a Target giftcard with my points and it didn't work, but I got cashback through Paypal within minutes of submitting the request. The Paypal option is only available in the US, so if you're using it in a different country Honey Gold is worthless.
As I'm sure you've heard. This extension doesn't show you all coupons and is actually a deterrent to searching for the best deal. They also use tactics that will steal money from sponsored creators you were trying to use the links of or just take directly from the sellers even if they didn't find any coupons to incentivize purchase. Just look for the coupons yourself - Rated 1 out of 5by Custord, 18 hours ago

They purposefully don't let you uninstall the browser extension, so they can keep pushing you to use their broken scam tool.
After two year of constant use, i have gotten a grand total of $5 out of it. USELESS!! Let me remove it!! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14995968, a day agoHoney deceives users by restricting access to superior coupons, often claiming that no coupons are available. Additionally, it undermines content creators by substituting their affiliate links, thereby preventing them from receiving compensation.
