Hostux.page by Hostux

Hostux.page replaces your new tab page: clock, weather, quotes, wallpapers, links and notes, with no account, no ads and no analytics.

• 12 or 24-hour clock, up to three more time zones, the date in large if you prefer, greeting, and a focus timer that fades the rest of the page during a session.
• Weather for your city: rain over the next two hours, 24-hour chart, wind, UV, air quality and pollen, in °C or °F.
• Wallpapers: freely licensed photos picked by Hostux for each time of day, or Wallhaven (safe for work only), Bing image of the day, NASA, your own images, a plain colour; automatic contrast.
• Quotes: Stoic thoughts (Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus), developer jokes, No as a Service refusals, French collections, or your own lines.
• Links in groups (drag and drop), as a bar or a list on one side, suggested as you search; notes with checkboxes, on the page or in a window; search with the engine of your choice.
• Separate spaces (Home, Work…), export and import, optional sync between browsers with a code, end-to-end encrypted.
• Interface in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

Your settings, links and notes are saved in the browser. Code sync encrypts them before upload; native sync uses the browser’s service under its rules. Neither mode transfers personal photos. Weather, remote wallpapers, quotes and DuckDuckGo icons go through Hostux. Search and optional direct HTTPS icons contact their destinations from your browser. Firefox asks for consent before weather and site-icon requests.
