Introducing our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy ("Policy") explains how Hunt.com ("We", "Us" or "Hunt") collects and processes information from users of the website, browser extension, software applications, and other online services we provide (collectively "Service" or "Application"). Our Service include, but are not limited to, our website located at https://hunt.com/deals (the "Website") and our Browser Extension ("Extension"), available in browser-specific extension stores.
We respect your privacy and are dedicated to protecting your personally identifiable information ("PII") that may be collected through your use of our Service. This Policy describes how we collect and use your PII and how you can control that use.
Please read this Policy carefully. By using our Service, you agree to our collection, use, and sharing of your PII as described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy or any of the practices regarding how We use your personal information, please do not use our our Service.
Data we collect and why
---
In order to be able to provide our Service, we need to collect information that you share directly with us. We also collect technical information about your device and use of our Website to make sure that our Service is working correctly. When you install Hunt's Extension, we need to know on which websites you visit in order to suggest any potential savings for you. Hence, we also track data about the websites you visit.
Information provided by you
We may request PII from you that makes the Service provided to you more personalized. In order to provide our Service to you, we may on occasion supplement the PII you submit to us with information from third-party sources, such as validating the accuracy of your email address or phone number, if we've ever received such data from you.
We collect information from you to be able to provide our Service to you. The types of personal information we collect and share depend on whether you simply browse our website or use our Service. This information generally includes, but is not limited to:
- Contact information. Your first name, last name, email address and telephone number;
- Records of correspondence. If you contact us, or otherwise provide us with information about yourself, we will maintain records of your correspondence. This may include any of your questions, comments, or suggestions.
Information Collected via Technology
- Log Files. As is true of most websites and mobile applications, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider ("ISP"), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the Service, track users' movements around the Service, gather demographic information about our user base as a whole, and better tailor our Service to our users' needs. Except as noted in this Privacy Policy, we do not link this automatically-collected data to personal information.
- Mobile Service. We may also collect non-personal information from your mobile device if you have downloaded any of our Applications. This information is generally used to help us deliver the most relevant information to you. Examples of information that may be collected and used include your geographic location, how you use the Applications, and information about the type of device you use. In addition, in the event our Applications crash on your mobile device, we will receive information about your mobile device model software version and device carrier, which allows us to identify and fix bugs and otherwise improve the performance of our Applications.
- Cookies. Like many online services, we use cookies to collect information. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer's hard drive while you are viewing the website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Service. This type of information is collected to make the Services more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs.
- Pixel Tags. In addition, we use "Pixel Tags" (also referred to as clear Gifs, Web beacons, or Web bugs). Pixel Tags are tiny graphic images with a unique identifier, similar in function to Cookies that are used to track online movements of Web users. In contrast to Cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, Pixel Tags are embedded invisibly in Web pages and emails. Pixel Tags also allow us to send e-mail messages in a format users can read, and they tell us whether e-mails have been opened to ensure that we are sending only messages that are of interest to our users. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to a user.
- Traffic Analytics. We use a number of third party service provides, such as Google Analytics, to help analyze how users use the Service ("Analytics Companies"). These Analytics Companies uses Cookies to collect information such as how often users visit the Service, and what features they use on our Application. We use the information we get from these Analytics Companies to improve our Application and Service. These Analytics Companies collect the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Service, rather than your name or other personally identifying information. Although these Analytics Companies may place a persistent Cookie on your web browser or mobile device to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit the Service, the Cookie cannot be used by anyone but the Analytics Company that placed the applicable Cookie. This Policy does not apply to and we are not responsible for the Cookies used by these Analytics Companies.
- Remarketing. We use a number of third party service providers, such as Google Ads, to serve ads on our behalf on third party websites to people who have previously visited our Site or used our Service. These service providers may automatically collect information about your visits to this and other websites, your IP address, your ISP, and the browser you use to visit our Site. They use Cookies to collect information from users of our Service, Pixel Tags or other technologies to accomplish these activities. The information collected by these third party service providers may be used, among other things, to deliver advertisements related to our Service. This Policy does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, Cookies, Pixel Tags or any other technology in these third party ads, and we encourage you to check the privacy policies of the relevant advertisers and/or ad services to learn about their use of Cookies and other technologies. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, click here: https://www.aboutads.info/choices, and https://optout.networkadvertising.org/.
- Some portions of the Service may implement Google Maps/Earth mapping services, including Google Maps & Places API(s). Your use of the Google Maps/Earth is subject to Google's Terms of Use, located at: https://www.google.com/intl/en_us/help/terms_maps.html, which incorporates Google's Privacy Policy, located at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
