by InfiniteFox, 4 years agoTL;DR: Works best when used alongside plugins like "Cookie AutoDelete". Will hide/block, accept or reject cookie banners (varies from site to site).
A note to everyone who's a bit confused about the exact function of this addon: "In most cases, it just blocks or hides cookie related pop-ups. When it's needed for the website to work properly, it will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what's easier to do)."
Meaning that sometimes, the addon will simply automatically accept cookies. Which is why I suggested using this alongside "Cookie AutoDelete".
Other than that, cookie banners are dealt with excelently. 95% of the time you won't even see them anymore. If you find a website that still shows a cookie banner despite having the addon installed, you can report it to the developer.

2) just found out the extension was acquired to potentially farm data? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17375526, a month agoThis extension has been acquired by Avast (which itself has been acquired by Gen Digital Inc., a large tech conglomerate) and I simply don't trust Avast with my data.

Because of a Firefox bug it's still being shown as recommended and checked by Mozilla in your add-on library, even though they removed that flag some time ago. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18310197, 3 months ago
