by Gabo, 9 years agoI'm sorry but right now. I only see the authenicate button even though I clicked on it and went to getpocket to authorize. After that it only updated the counter of the items I have pending to read, but it doesn't list anyone nor I can add more. The only thing that shows is the authenticate button again.
Edit to answer:
I've just reset my firefox so I can have the new button that comes with firefox (I have deleted it) so I don't have the list of plugins I had a few minutes ago.
I remember I have adblock plus, evernote clipper and leechblock. I had uninstalled firefox hello.
My firefox version is 45.0 for Ubuntu Linux.
I've just tried again with my firefox refreshed and it still does the same. I'm a developer too so if you tell me how I could debug it I could give you more information.
(a helpful link would be enough) I did a chrome plugin but I've never worked with firefox before.
I give you one more star for the quick and polite answer :D

posted 9 years agoHey, that's me who's sorry.. I haven't had any problems like yours so far, you're the first. Can you give me some more details by updating your comment maybe, about your version of FF for instance, other addons you might be using maybe? I'd be glad to help you if I can.
Edit : thanks for the update :) I'm quite new to FF addons development myself, and I've got no mechanism built into the addon to help users debug. I'll soon be able to add a "Enable debug mode" button there to give me more insights when there's an issue for someone. What's weird is that your item list must have been correctly loaded since you can see the items count. I've added a "disconnect from Pocket account" feature in my upcoming release, that removes some of the data stored by the addon and disconnect from your Pocket account. Maybe there has been corrupt data, and this might help... but since you've had the bug on a fresh install, I don't have really high hopes.
Edit #2 : there's also a bug fix in the upcoming version that might help. Don't hesitate to tell me if the bug still occures, and I'll be working on a debug mode as soon as I get a bit of free time.

Pocket has shut down
After much thought, we made the difficult decision to close Pocket. Thanks for being part of the journey. - Rated 5 out of 5by Nichers, a month ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by LloydGSR, 3 months agoI've been using this ever since Mozilla nerfed the original Pocket addon and gave us that absolutely shitful button instead.
Thanks heaps for your work, my dude, I've got no idea how I stumbled across this but I'm grateful I did. I've migrated across to Linkwarden now Mozilla have decided Pocket is on the chopping block, I'm going to miss this little gem. - Rated 5 out of 5by SuniRein, 4 months agoThank you for such an amazing extension. It is the best read-it-later plugin I known. I have used it for years, and feel sad to hear that Pocket will be closed.
- Rated 5 out of 5by tbone, 4 months agoExcellet extension, use it everyday. I was sad to hear that Firefox will be closing Pocket and I am guessing that is will no longer work after that happens. Thanks for such an amazing extension.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Seän "Frostbyte" Shepherd, 10 months agoThis extension makes the default Mozilla "Save to Pocket" button look like it was written on Scratch by a 6 yo (no offense to Scratch users). It's an *outstanding* example of pushing the WebExtensions API envelope beyond its capabilities, something only a capable and brilliant software engineer can do. Being a SW engineer myself, I'm fully aware of the difficulties of this. Bugs, syntax errors and random runtime exceptions are the bane of all developers.
It seems Mr. Buisson is experiencing one of those atm, as his intro to this extension states. But he obviously takes his work seriously and cares about his end-users, a rare and admirable trait, and I commend him. I would *still* recommend this add-on to anyone who loves Pocket and dislikes the simplistic excuse of an extension that serves as the service's default. Merci beaucoup, Pierre-Adrien! (I hope I spelled that right)
My French is sadly appalling, but you deserve no less than my best effort and expressing my gratitude in your language! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16165448, a year agoUse it everyday since it was first launched. I love the bookmarking button that also tells me if a page has been bookmarked, and the easy access to pocket through the dropdown is priceless. Thank you!

- Rated 5 out of 5by darlington95, a year agoVery nice add-on. I use it every day.
I am using multiple Firefox accounts. Pocket is essential for me as a bookmarking tool across accounts.
Being an add-on, it is very quick to use. It doesn't interrupt my thinking. I love the favorites coloring and title editing.
The archives are not searchable, but if it slows down the search speed I'm happy to keep it the way it is. Thank you. - Rated 5 out of 5by ikkqqstudio, a year agowell that's a good addon, i am using on waterfox because There is no Pocket feature in original waterfox release

posted a year agoThank you for the feedback. Definitely up there on my todo list for the next major version. However, not sure when it will happen as life goes in the way quite a lot. Still, I add your feedback to my backlog. I would also like to have a dark theme so it is likely to happen someday :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Seän D. Shepherd, a year ago
