- Rated 5 out of 5by Richard Duff, 8 years agoLike the other reviewers I miss the old Pocket extension so thanks for this which is much better than the integrated Pocket function within Firefox itself. However please change the default icon colour in the tool bar to red (or give users a choice).
Also the icon should always reflect the current Pocket status but does not do this when a page is added with the extension but then deleted direct from the Pocket website, as the icon should be greyed out but isn't.Developer response
posted 8 years agoHi Richard! Thanks a lot for your detailed feedback.
- Icon colour : it's been asked once or twice. To be honest, it's not a top priority for me. Still, I know some users want this and I do keep track of all these demands, so you can expect it some day. I believe it will be a user setting.
- As for the status issue, it's more complicated. I currently retrieve page status automatically when you've not open the InMyPocket popup for 15minutes, to make sure you don't keep too much delta if you use the pocket website or applications to archive pages. Still, I can't contact the Pocket API too often (for performance reasons and because there's a quota on the calls). I can retrieve the delta in the background in addition to doing this on popup opening, but I'll always have to keep a delay of several minutes between the updates. You can still click the "refresh/reload" icon in the popup to force reload, which should correctly update the icon state... though it's not an optimal solution.
Do not hesitate to contact me through http://bit.ly/inmypocketcontact or twitter if you want to talk more about this and thanks again for the helpful feedback. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 5858657, 8 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13443128, 8 years agoThank you!!! I'm heavy readitlater/pocket user for about 8 years and can't imagine browsing without old-good popup menu with links. Pocket feature in Firefox is just useless!

posted 8 years agoHaha thanks a lot, it's makes me really happy that you find my addon so useful, and encourages me to keep on working on it! - Rated 5 out of 5by Yurii, 8 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by felipefr, 8 years agoVery nice ideas as I am an almost compulsive Pocket user and certainly like to have more features than just adding a new link. Would like to see recommendations (like in the Chrome add-on), and specially a batch save feature. Overall it's a very welcome addition and I wish you good luck :3

posted 8 years agoThanks for your feedback felipe! Well as for the suggestions, I'm not sure I'll be able to do something about this, at least for now. The batch save feature though might be useful. I'll add this to my "todo list" for one day, even though I already have quite a lot on my plate at this time :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Rykum, 8 years agoI love this addon, since v57 is coming I didn't want to lose old pocket addon feature. I recently reinstalled my OS and that means clean Firefox install and it's awesome. Only thing I'm missing is to see website favicon to easily know what my links will lead me.

posted 8 years agoThanks for the review :) Well I plan on working on this and to be honest I also miss this. It should be one of the features I'll add in a future 1.0 release. You can have a look at the current state of the roadmap here : http://bit.ly/inmypocketroadmap - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13156685, 8 years agoI'm very happy with this. Compared to http://getpocket.com/ it's very easy to open a couple of sites in new tabs while also removing them from the list in one shot. Contrary to getpocket.com, it also opens the website directly, and not the getpocket link, which sometimes formats the site very badly.
Some ideas for making it even better:
* Allow to right click and copy links from the drop-down list.
* I love that it's so easy to delete links, but this also might lead to accidentally doing so. Thus it would be cool if one could undo a deletion for a couple of seconds.
* Add an option remove the "Add to pocket" icon from the URL bar.
Thanks for this great add-on! :)Developer response
posted 8 years agoAnd thank you for your review and your great feedback :) I'm glad the addon is helpful to you. Can you drop me a line using the contact form here please (https://pabuisson.wufoo.com/forms/zi5scw41v368kr/), I'd love to hear more about your use case for the 1st suggestion.
As for the 2nd one (accidentally delete a link), you're right, I noticed this as well. I have an idea about how to add this feature in the addon, will need to work on it.
As for the last one (optional url bar icon), you're the second user to make that suggestion these last days, I'll see what I can do :) - Rated 5 out of 5by calania, 8 years agoI was a bit nervous when I read that old firefox extensions wouldn't work in version 57+ because I am still using the old pocket extensions since in my opinion the build in one is terrible. I was even considering switching to chrome just to get an old pocket like extension but then I found this gem. Works as well as the old extension. Would be nice if there were thumbnails for the websites like in the normal old pocket but that isn't deal breaking. Overall it excellent!

posted 8 years agoHi! Thanks a lot, I'm always really happy to read such positive feedback, and know that my addon is helpful to you. It keeps me motivated to keep on working on it, so thanks a lot!
As for your suggestion : by thumbnail, I guess that you mean the favicon of the websites (icon that you see on the left of Firefox tabs for instance, or in the bookmarks), not an actual thumbnail / screenshot of the page that's been saved? - Rated 5 out of 5by RGhost, 8 years agoI used old Pocket extension and find that its no more updated. I'm glad that I found that extension which will support new versions of FF.
Also author of this extension provided great support of it. Thank you again!Developer response
posted 8 years agoThanks RGhost, I'm glad it's useful to other firefox / pocket users :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Shumone, 8 years agoReally waiting for someone to recreate the Pocket addon like the older one. Thanks a lot for the initiative.
Just, 1. Can U Please make both the icons a little bit dark? Its too light in color.
2. Please update with a facility which closes the saved tab automatically.
Thanks again, Thanks a lot!Developer response
posted 8 years agoThanks for the feedback, I'm glad you find the addon useful. I've updated the icons that were indeed a bit too light, thanks for noticing this. It'll be in the next release of the addon. As for the automatic closing of the saved tab, it's in my todolist, but not for the next releases, I have many basics I'd like to cover beforehand. But it's a common requests for power users, and I do intend to work on this. Thanks again for the feedback :)
