InstaWebMusic by Proxy

The Instagram app plays the song people add to their photo posts. Open the same post on instagram.com and you hear nothing. InstaWebMusic plays it.

• Open a photo post and its song starts from the part the poster picked. Close the post or switch tabs and it stops.
• The song and artist show under the poster's name, like in the app. Click them to mute.
• Scrolling the feed stays silent and sends no extra requests.
• If Instagram marks a song as muted for you, it stays muted.

InstaWebMusic sends requests to Instagram and nowhere else, using the session you're logged into, and collects no data.

Firefox blocks sound on a page until you click it once. If you open a post from a link, click anywhere on the page and the song starts.

InstaWebMusic is an independent project. Instagram and Meta don't endorse, sponsor or have any affiliation with it.
