About this extension
This extension helps you identify Instagram accounts you follow that do not follow you back ('non moots'). It works entirely inside your browser and does not send any data anywhere.
All processing happens locally in your browser.
The extension does not transmit, collect, or store data outside your device.
The extension requires that you manually open your Followers and Following lists so it can read them from the page.
You can rerun the capture steps at any time to refresh the results.
- Open Instagram in Firefox and sign into your account.
- Go to your profile page and open the Followers list.
- Open the extension by clicking the address bar icon (on desktop) and click “Capture Followers.” The extension reads the list from the page and stores it locally.
- Open your Following list and click “Capture Following.”
- When done, click “Show Non-Mutuals.” You will see a list of accounts you follow who are not following you back ('non-moots'). Each entry includes an Unfollow button. Clicking it opens that user’s profile and performs the standard “Unfollow” action in the Instagram interface.
