- Rated 5 out of 5by silverlake, 8 days agoworks perfectly and makes life a lot easier. just one question: is there any way to convert the downloaded PDF to another format like EPUB after downloading? I haven't been able to do it, my converter just hangs when I try.

posted 8 days agoevery page of the downloaded pdf file is an image indeed, so it's no sense to convert to other format - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12097049, a month agoThanks for this extremely useful add-on, which worked fine until today! Now, in any attempt to download a borrowed book, I get the message: "File download was blocked. Please contact the developer.". It may be irrelevant, but the messages started, after updating Firefox to v. 133.0.
Update: It works smoothly again, thanks for fixing it so quickly! - Rated 5 out of 5by sam, a month agoi think the ext. got blocked by the "archive.org" admins, when i click download it give me this "File download was blocked.
Please contact the developer."
thanks for everything though and I hope you can, soooooon, get past the block. - Rated 3 out of 5by ExUno, 2 months agoSince Internet Archive's hack, these extensions no longer work, Internet Archive Downloader and the CORS Patch for Internet Archive Downloader. An earlier URL hack (archive.org/services/loans/loan/?action=media_url&identifier=XXXXXXXXXXXXX&format=pdf&redirect=1) also stopped working. Any updates or links to other 1-hour borrow downloads would be awesome.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18285487, 3 months agoThe Chrome plugin works flawlessly, but this Firefox 'port' at first wouldn't, giving me a Blocked error message when I clicked on download. It apparently has something to do with Cross Origin restrictions.
I tried several things, including Private mode, but in the end the only thing that worked for me (in standard mode too) was the "Allow CORS: Access-Control-Allow-Origin" by Muyor plugin. Disable uBlock Origin or whatever for Archive.org just in case.
Please add this tip to your plugins description. So far 2 succcessful artbook PDF downloads at Max Resolution. And thank you for creating this. I wish there was a way to grab the original Jp2s instead of Jpg, but I haven't found one yet (not a coder).Developer response
posted 3 months agoThe extension for Firefox was not perfect. Integration of "allow cors" function into the extension does not always work for all Firefox releases on all platforms. The reason is unknown. Fewer people encounter the problem. Applying a thirdparty "cors" extension is an alternative. Or you can use Chrome instead. - Rated 5 out of 5by D31an, 3 months agoIt works great! Many Thanks to the Developer!
It would be much better, though, if the Developer could actually create am .EXE software for doing this in stead of mere Browser's Extension. Also, Browser's downloads could more stable.Developer response
posted 3 months agoFewer people has the requirement of an exe for windows so there is no such plan. And if you have any questions or suggestions please post on the extension support site (github.com/elementdavv/internet_archive_downloader/issues) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16033228, 3 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by primalphoenix, 5 months agoWorked perfectly, had none of the network errors or blocked file issues like others have had. Perfect the first time.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Horace Green, 6 months agoIt literally does not even work. It says "File download was blocked." when I try to download. Pointless garbage. This should be removed.
- Rated 5 out of 5by ANZ, 7 months agoWorks great! - If you find an error when downloading from Archive.org, make sure to go into the extension's settings and enable all permissions as per previous reviews
