Privacy Policy for Jadu
Effective Date: May 29, 2026
At Ciphera, we believe in absolute user privacy. Jadu is built from the ground up to operate completely client-side. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
- Data We Do Not Collect
No Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or physical address.
No Browsing History: We do not track the websites you visit, the links you click, or your online behavior.
No Shortcut Data: All keyboard shortcuts, macros, CSS selectors, and workflow sequences you create are kept private to your device. We have no way of accessing them. - Local Data Storage
All extension settings, custom keyboard shortcuts, and configurations are stored locally on your device using standard browser storage APIs (chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync).
This data is only used to run the extension in your browser and sync settings between your own devices (if sync is enabled in your browser settings).
You can export, import, or clear this data at any time through the extension's settings page.
3. Third-Party Sharing
Because we do not collect any user data, we do not share, sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any information to third parties. There are no external analytics engines, tracking cookies, or remote databases bundled within the extension.
- Permissions Used
The extension requests the following permissions for operational reasons:
storage: To save your custom keyboard shortcuts and configuration options locally.
activeTab: To temporarily allow Jadu's command center and hotkey manager to overlay on the tab you are currently viewing.
scripting: To execute your custom shortcuts (e.g., triggering mouse clicks or focusing input fields) on the web pages you configure.
