JobHunt extension – Privacy Policy

The JobHunt extension saves job offers to your account in the JobHunt service
(https://jobhunt.bieda.it). It sends data only to that service. It contains no analytics,
no ads and no third-party code, and we do not sell any data.

What is sent and when
- The extension acts only when you click its icon. It then reads the page open in the
active tab and recognises the job offer on your computer.
- "Save to JobHunt" sends the offer data you confirm in the pop-up (title, company,
location, salary, description, the offer's URL and similar).
- "Review in JobHunt" sends the content (HTML) and URL of that one page instead, so you can
review it in the service. The page is deleted as soon as you save the offer or close the
add dialog, and at the latest after 24 hours.
- The extension never reads other tabs, your browsing history or pages you did not click it on.

"Already saved" marks
- About once a minute the extension fetches from JobHunt the SHA-256 hashes of the URLs of
the offers you have saved (not the URLs or any other offer data) and keeps them in the browser.
- On the job portals listed in the extension it compares the hash of the open tab's URL with
them locally. The addresses you visit are never sent.

Stored in the browser
- An access token that links the extension to your account, your account's e-mail address
and the hashes above. Signing out in the extension deletes them.
- The token can only add offers, send pages and fetch those hashes. It cannot read your
saved offers, notes or statuses. JobHunt records the name of the connected browser and when
the token was used. You can disconnect a browser in JobHunt (Account menu → Browser
extension) or in the extension.

Retention and your rights
- Saved offers stay in your account until you delete them or the account. Deletion is
immediate, and backups expire within 30 days.
