JobScrub ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and stored when you use the JobScrub browser extension.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your browsing history, IP address, or personal data in the background. All job data processing (revealing dates, blocking companies) happens locally on your device.
User-Initiated Feedback If you choose to use the "Send Feedback" feature in the extension popup, the following information is transmitted to our support team via a secure webhook:Name: (Optional) As provided by you.
Email: (Optional) As provided by you.
Message: The content of your feedback.
Usage Statistics: A numerical count of jobs revealed (e.g., "15 jobs revealed today") to help us debug issues.
JobScrub stores the following data locally on your device using the browser's storage API (chrome.storage.local):Blocked Companies: The list of employers you have chosen to hide.
Cached Job Data: Posting dates and applicant counts for jobs you have viewed (to reduce network requests).
Settings: Your preferences (e.g., auto-hide threshold, premium status).
This data never leaves your browser unless you choose to sync your browser settings across devices using your Firefox/Chrome account features.
We use ExtPay to manage subscriptions. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.We do not have access to your credit card number or financial details.
ExtPay authenticates your purchase status to unlock premium features.
Indeed The extension interacts with Indeed.com solely to fetch public job posting data (HTML and JSON). We do not transmit your personal information to Indeed.
Discord (Support) When you submit feedback, the data is securely transmitted to our private Discord server for the sole purpose of customer support and bug tracking.Children’s Privacy JobScrub is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy.
