JustAnime Sync — Privacy Policy

WHAT IT READS
On a site you have enabled, the extension reads the page title, the page
address, how far along you are (player position, page counter or scroll
position), and — where a site needs it — the text or an attribute of the
specific elements that site's rule points at. It reads nothing else: no
other page content, no cookies, no form input, no browsing history.

WHAT IT SENDS
Once you connect a JustAnime account: the title, the episode or chapter
number, how far along you are, and which site it came from. Nothing is
sent before you pass the completion threshold except your position, which
is what lets the site show you where you left off.

Separately, an installation ping — a random installation identifier, the
extension version, the browser name and the keys of the sites you have
enabled — is sent hourly so we can count active installations. On Firefox
this is the optional "technicalAndInteraction" data collection permission;
decline it and the ping is never sent.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Access and refresh tokens for your account, the list of supported sites,
your per-site switches, and the addresses of any personal media servers
you add. Personal server addresses are never transmitted to us.

WHERE IT GOES
justanime.me and nowhere else. If you have linked an AniList or
MyAnimeList account on justanime.me, your progress is forwarded to that
service by our server, not by the extension.

DELETION
Disconnecting the extension deletes its tokens. Deleting your JustAnime
account removes the data above.
