KanBananza privacy policy

KanBananza is a browser extension that turns your new tab page into kanban boards. It is built to keep your information on your own computer.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR COMPUTER
Your boards, cards, settings, backups, images, activity history for insights and everything else you create are stored only in your browser, using the browser's extension storage. KanBananza has no account, no server and no analytics. We never see, collect, sell or share your boards or how you use them.

If you turn on the passcode lock, your boards, backups and card images are encrypted on your computer. Your passcode is never stored or sent anywhere.

WHEN KANBANANZA USES THE INTERNET
Only to check a Full Bananza licence key, with Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider:

• Activating or deactivating: when you press Activate or Deactivate, KanBananza sends your licence key, and a label naming the computer type (for example "KanBananza on MacIntel"), to Lemon Squeezy to check the key. Firefox asks your permission first.
• Checking the key: KanBananza sends the licence key and this computer's activation ID to Lemon Squeezy to check the key is still valid: about once every 30 days for the yearly plan, and about once every 3 months for lifetime.

Nothing else is sent: never your boards and never your settings.

When you buy Full Bananza, the purchase itself (your name, email address and payment details) is handled by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy, not by KanBananza.

PERMISSIONS
- Storage: to save your boards and settings in your browser.
- Alarms and notifications: for focus timer and due-date reminders, daily backups and the backup reminder.
- Context menus and active tab: for "Add to KanBananza" when you right-click a page, and the "current tab" button in the popup. Pages are read only when you use these.
- api.lemonsqueezy.com (asked for only when you activate Full Bananza): to check your licence key.

YOUR CHOICES
You can export all of your data at any time (Settings, then Export / import). Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on your computer.
