About this extension

Kasbah Guard is a local-first security extension that monitors AI chat platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to detect and block accidental leaks of credentials, API keys, passwords, and personal data before they are sent.

How it works:

detector.js runs at document_start and scans typed content against 22 regex patterns (API keys, tokens, PII, crypto wallets, etc.)
content.js intercepts fetch, XHR, WebSocket, and form submissions to block outbound data if a secret is detected
All processing is 100% local — no data is ever sent to any server
No analytics, no telemetry, no remote calls
