- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14742480, a year agoGreat addon, but I have a feature request: would it be possible to make it work with pages that request Basic authentication?
Right now the only way to make it work is canceling the auth request so that the window title gets modified, and then refreshing the page to make the auth request come up again.
Thank you. - Rated 5 out of 5by ŁG, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17214152, 3 years agoDoesn't need permission "access to your data on all websites" like many others. But doesn't show the custom url on sites with basic authentication - only after basic authentication is canceled and site reloaded the proper window title is shown.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13462421, 5 years agoThis is the only one out of many "URL in title" addons that doesn't need permission for all your data! Excellent

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15027074, 6 years agoDo you think you could add Thunderbird support the way that this addon did? https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/keepass-helper/
That one no longer works with the latest Thunderbird.
It used to add the current email account's ID to the "Mail Server Password Required" popups so that KeePass could enter the password.
Other than that, works great on Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by Neytrino, 6 years agoGood Add-on, could You add Russian translation? https://yadi.sk/d/1okLkyNkgVAAVA
Also, perhaps you could add the customizable text string that can be placed before url? (personally I would prefer to place something like "Firefox" there) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 10068672, 6 years agoWorks great, and the name of the title doesn't actually show up in the browser, so it works silently. Awesome solution!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Dean Householder, 6 years agoIt adds the hostname to the title but still manages to hide it from the tab! Brilliant!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14035616, 7 years agoThanks for this add-on. One issue that I found is not being able to auto-type login to a website when the # character is in the middle of the url. For example the TD Bank login page is: https://onlinebanking.tdbank.com/#/authentication/login
I have tried several ways to have the auto-type in Keepass work for this url but I can not. I suspect it is due to the # character. My Keepass auto-type works for other websites no problem. Please respond if you know of a way. - Rated 4 out of 5by witrak(), 7 years agoI second the previous comment. Current version effectively obscures the title information. Also it would be better to allow the user to specify a regexp, so the extension could modify only matching URLs.
- Rated 4 out of 5by syldub, 7 years agoVery good addon. The feature to show the port number in URL is very useful.
Would be great if there was an option to write the url after the title and not before...
You say in the preceding comment that is is not possible, but some other webextensions addon are doing it:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/custom-titlebar-text/
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hostname-in-title/
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/url-in-title/
But for these extensions, if we drag & drop the Firefox url in Windows Explorer, the url is contained in the created shortcut filename, which is useless and very bad (filenames are too long). I don't know if this is the consequence.
