What this extension does
Kindle Library Cleaner reads your Amazon Kindle library and deletes expired public library loans on your behalf. It does this by communicating directly with Amazon's website using your existing login session — the same way your browser would if you did it manually.
What data is accessed
When you use the extension, it reads your Kindle library contents from Amazon's "Manage Content & Devices" page. This includes book titles, ASINs, loan types, and expiration status. This data is used solely to identify and display expired loans so you can choose to delete them.
Where your data goes
Your library data never leaves your device. It is stored temporarily in your browser's local storage to avoid re-fetching it on every click, and is only sent to Amazon when performing deletions (again, the same request your browser would make manually). No library data is sent to the developer or any third party.
Payments
If you purchase the paid version, payment is handled by ExtPay (extensionpay.com). ExtPay stores your payment status. The developer receives confirmation that your account is paid, but not your payment details. ExtPay's privacy policy applies to that interaction.
What the extension does NOT do
- It does not collect, store, or transmit your Amazon credentials or cookies.
- It does not track your browsing activity.
- It does not send analytics or telemetry anywhere.
- It does not share any data with advertisers or data brokers.
Permissions used
- storage: used to cache your library list locally and remember how many deletions you have used.
- Access to amazon.com: required to read your library and submit deletions using your session.
- Access to extensionpay.com: required to check and process payment status.
