This extension changes the geographic location setting on Google Maps to Canada, so that Canadian place names are displayed, including "Lake Ontario". If it's not working, you may need to refresh the page.
The extension is based on the Gulf of Mexico extension, which sets the geographic location to Mexico so that "Gulf of Mexico" is displayed. Lake Ontario Reverter is not compatible with the Gulf of Mexico extension, since they both work by changing the same setting.
