- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 9969344, 5 years agoSwitched to this from the ImpulseBlocker addon. I can set times when I want to be productive and disable social media websites during that times, also set times for sleep and for weekends, that's pretty easy to configure. Overriding the self-set rules is hard and that is important. ImpulseBlocker had this "disable for 5 minutes" button and I used that way too much. Synchronization over your firefox sync account seems to work for me as well, though it is still in beta. This helps me a lot during this Covid19-induced home-office.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Tracey, 5 years agoAllows much more customizability than other timer apps I've found. That means I can keep my schedule in the Goldilocks zone of productivity and enjoyment. Thus I don't need to keep using willpower to reset it every time I want to avoid certain sites, and don't risk "forgetting" to use it.
However, the UI could be more intuitive - I often accidentally set it to do things I don't want. The override also doesn't work for me even though it displays a messages saying it has. This is a problem when I need to use certain sites. It happens whether I activate override before or after I run out of time. - Rated 5 out of 5by Avia, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by leylin, 5 years agoEdit: lol nvm i didnt realize there was a website with a FAQ, it's crazy how powerful this is
---original: these things exist!---
I wish there was a whitelist feature, because sometimes wikipedia and a bunch of other sites i can't list all of are useful for work and other times they're a distraction.
Also, it can't kick me off of a site that im on, it only blocks it when it refreshes. Tumblr is an endless scroll site and if i run out of time it doesn't kick me off until i manually refresh itDeveloper response

On the first point, see: https://www.proginosko.com/leechblock/faq/exceptions/
On the second point, be sure to select the option "Immediately block pages on these sites once blocking conditions are met". - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12146491, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Jordan, 5 years agoMe writing this review is a sign that it is working. I would definitely be on social media if it weren't for this add-on. I used the Stayfocusd extention for Chrome previously and this add-on is a perfect replacement.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13547186, 5 years agoSimple to use, has a number of powerful options, and a pleasant but unobtrusive default "sorry, can't visit" screen. Works great!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Flimm, 5 years agoI have been using this for years, and I was delighted when the author took the time to rewrite the extension to work with newer Firefox versions, and with Chromium browsers too! Well done! It also works with Firefox Sync (go its settings to enable that). The settings are a bit hard to understand at first, but there many more settings than anything else that I've tried.
The only thing that it lacks is that the settings page is not suitable for small screens on Firefox for Android.
This is the first browser extension that I have ever donated to. - Rated 5 out of 5by arekk, 5 years ago

The delay page really is the killer feature for me. I can set the timer to just long enough so that I stop the impulsion, but just short enough so that if I really need to access something during the block period I can, if I feel like waiting (which I usually don't). Alt-tabbing also cancels the countdown by default. The statistics breakdown for each blocking group is also brilliant.
There's a lot more features to this extension I haven't tried, but for now the way I have it set up works really well.
All of this under a copyleft license means a big thumbs up from me. I can't give enough praise! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15822115, 5 years agoI'm not happy to write this review.
I always thought that Leechblock NG was perfect, but yesterday I found out that I can easily disable it by going through the add-on options. Without typing the random password.
I have tried to follow the instructions on this site https://www.proginosko.com/leechblock/faq/
But after hours I didn't solve anything.
I think I'll try "FocusMe" software. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13888127, 5 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Aksell, 5 years agoFinally a blocking extension that has everything! Clever grouping of sites with functionality for: delaying access, setting a max time and setting a schedule. And even if one site is in several groups and has multiple rules tied to it, the blocking rules interact and work together as one would expect! Very happy with this.

- Rated 1 out of 5by MeHumanISwear, 5 years agoWhen you can't control yourself with social media, to use this app would be helpful, if it wasn't so easy to disable in Firefox's options. You can even unblock the site at will. There is nothing an extension can do with these things, so try out an app. I'm trying FocusMe out, if I find it for free somewhere. It's not a bad extension, it's just too easy to get around it if you have no power over yourself. I hope this gets checked out and helps someone.
