- Rated 2 out of 5by slapadelic, 3 years agoI only really need something like this to get short samples for music or memes or what not so it works acceptably, I guess. It claims to be able to record audio and video, which I took to mean there are options, but there are not. it's only corrupted webm files with no options to edit or even pause the recording.
I take the video files and then rip the audio from them using virtual DJ, but that really shouldn't be a necessary step - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12812696, 3 years agoThis is one of the only addons that AUTOMATICALLY captures video streams at the "source level", eliminating the need to fuss with capture areas, window sizing or frames to record just the video. It's not a screen recorder, per se, so the user can surf the net while video capture continues in the background. The problem is, I've noticed significant 3d noise ("grainy" picture) when playing back recorded videos. It's not a hardware shortcoming. Also, there's no toolbar button to toggle recording. The user does need to be on the video page to start or stop recording. However, once the "stop" button is clicked, the video is downloaded without any further user interaction, which is super, super handy.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17128285, 3 years agoThe only one that worked for downloading mp3 embedded now that they are a lot harder to download. Countless others failed even audio capture ones. Best mp3 downloader there is.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Choucroute Garny, 4 years agoThe *only* one that could save a video (tried about 10 of the most rated add-ons that did not know how to deal with ~100 blobs raw data...).
This one does not use a meaningless URI, but instead records what's actually showing on the page, and thus works with everything!
Thanks. - Rated 5 out of 5by csantin, 4 years agoSo simple and user friendly, just what I was looking for. Thank you for making this. I'm using to record my online classes.
- Rated 5 out of 5by PPB, 4 years agoGreat & easy in use. Even full popconcerts can be recorded w/o any problems.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16956800, 4 years agoI've recorded several times but couldn't find these recordings anywhere in my computer. Where are they stored?
- Rated 1 out of 5by Adam Bajger, 4 years agoWell it works, but sooner or later the recording crashes anyway, losing any progress you have made. It would really be vital to implement an option to download anything recorded so far in the case of "unlucky error".
- Rated 1 out of 5by Nino Filiu, 4 years agoCrashes with an alert that says "Unpaused media elements not found! Start playback, then try again." and does nothing else
Firefox v89
Ubuntu 21.04 - Rated 3 out of 5by erulasse, 4 years agoIt worked great for over a year - been using it since lockdown. However, there has been some problems lately and the recording stops after maybe 30 mins. I'm using it for online classes, and I miss out the rest of the lesson. I get an error that says "unlucky error". Hope the developer will see this review and help fix this bug. I've tried to email him but the email bounced.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Skcamero, 4 years agoDoesn't work. It detected the media, but when I press the record button nothing happens
- Rated 5 out of 5by Danny, 4 years agoAfter hours of searching I found this extension, which does exactly what I need. This extension records a running video in the browser while I can surf in other tabs. Top!!!
- Rated 5 out of 5by tharg2, 4 years agoI don't know why anyone would not give this 5 stars. Perhaps they are old reviews? I have recorded many streaming videos, one nearly 2 hours long, all worked perfectly! Note you have to have a video playing before it will be detected. Love the fact that it stops recording when the video finishes. Recommended!
