by Firefox user 17795686, 2 years agoI bought this back in July 2022. It's now February 2023. I have the free version still because for some bizarre reason they have never activated my extension. I have written several times and never received ANY response. So I'm pissed off. I wouldn't do business with these jerks.

I purchased the Premium version of LiveStartPage in order to have more control over the UX. The developer did finally activate the Premium version but, lo and behold, the only way the Premium features work is if I am logged in to an account on Nimbus Web, which was created when I purchased Premium. Nimbus is the apparent owner or host of this app. What worries me about this arrangement is that all of my internet travels are then exposed, and I assume exploited, by Nimbus.
..................... NOW HIJACKING LINKS
For example, I noticed that a link to Amazon suddenly expanded without reason or notice. My original link to "https://amazon.com" now points to what appears to be an affiliate link:
https://www.amazon.com/?&tag=admarketus-20&ref=pd_sl_b59d20e360affe1d8024d7928703bbf1ae3866fa6890af20fd1c71c5
...............
I don't know what all the rules are for Firefox Extensions. But I doubt hijacking a link to make it an affiliate link for someone else's benefit is allowed. Geez people you didn't even offer me a cut! Instead you actually charged me $15 for this privilege.
