About this extension
Shows which emails track whether you opened them, and names the tracker. In Yandex Mail the found pixel is also not loaded.

Newsletters put an invisible 1×1 image into emails. When your mail loads it, the sender learns the email was opened. The extension finds these images and writes above the email: "Open tracker in this email: Yandex Plus".

WHAT IT DOES
• Recognises trackers from a built-in list: Yandex's own newsletter pixels (Plus, mailings, Webmaster), Mailchimp, SendGrid, Mailgun, Ozon, HubSpot, Salesforce, Campaign Monitor, Mailjet, Mailtrack, Yesware, Litmus and more, over 50 services in all. It finds them behind the mail service's image proxy too.
• Knows the pixel of TraksPaks (ТрексПекс), a service used to track emails sent from Yandex Mail and Mail.ru.
• In Yandex Mail it swaps the pixel address before the browser requests it. In our check in Chrome and Firefox the found pixel was never requested with the extension on, and requested every time without it.
• Leaves normal pictures, logos and transparent layout spacers alone. Across 13,000 real newsletters, no visible image was mistaken for a tracker.
• Changes nothing in an email you are writing or forwarding.
• On/off switch in the extension popup: labels go away at once, no reload.

HONEST LIMITS
• A tracker that is not on the list is neither seen nor stopped.
• The mail service itself knows you opened the email; this includes Yandex's own newsletters.
• In Gmail and Mail.ru the image may load before the extension sees it. To be sure you don't report opens, turn off automatic image loading in your mail settings.

PRIVATE
• Runs only on mail.yandex.ru (.com, .by, .kz, .uz), mail.google.com, e.mail.ru.
• The only permission is storing the switch position.
• Does not read subjects, recipients or message text. Makes no network requests and sends nothing anywhere. No sign-up, ads or analytics.

Unofficial extension, not affiliated with Yandex, Google or VK. Service names are used only to describe compatibility.

Interface in English and Russian.
