About this extension
Make Reddit Profiles Public Again (MrPA) helps you view contribution history on Reddit profiles that have been set to private by their owners.
Some Reddit users choose to hide their post and comment history on their profile pages, but this extension works around that limitation by using Reddit's own public search functionality. It fetches a user's recent posts and comments through Reddit's search endpoints and displays them directly on their profile page in a clean, familiar format.
Features:
-Automatically loads posts and comments for profiles with hidden contributions
-Displays content in a compact feed similar to Reddit's native interface
-Shows post titles, comment text, scores, and timestamps
-Caches results for 10 minutes to minimize server requests
-Works seamlessly with Reddit's existing interface
The extension only uses publicly available data from Reddit's search pages - nothing private or restricted is accessed. It simply makes visible what would otherwise require manually searching for a user's content.
Update 1.2.1:
- Refined the way user comments are fetched.
- Changed the way posts are fetched to use the old Reddit API.
Update 1.2.2:
Links in comments are now highlighted and clickable.
- Posts now also show the preview text, as well as the image if applicable.
