Browser extension
The extension receives your block list from the Maxxer.io Mac app on the same computer. It checks website addresses to block selected sites and redirect already-open tabs. It keeps the current block plan in browser session storage and sends blocked-site origins (the scheme and host, without paths, queries or fragments) to the local Mac app for History. The app records blocked domains locally. The extension makes no network requests of its own and does not upload browsing data to us or third parties.
The block page receives the original address in its URL fragment. Your browser may retain that address in its own history; you can clear it using your browser's history controls. This is separate from Maxxer's local domain history.
Our use of information received through the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this data only for website blocking and local History, never for advertising, sale, creditworthiness or lending.
