The extension does not collect any data about you or how you browse the web. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking.
The extension downloads only the replacement lists you add. Remote lists must use HTTPS. A list stored on your computer can be served over HTTP from a loopback address. Checking links and changing their text happens inside your browser.
Downloading a remote list is an ordinary file request. The server hosting the file receives standard connection information, as it would when you open a website. A loopback request stays on your device. The extension does not add information about the page you are currently viewing.
The addresses of added lists, the approved page scope of each list, your chosen language, and the way changes are marked are stored locally in Firefox. The extension does not synchronize them between devices.
The extension asks for access only when you add a list. Before enabling it, the extension shows the websites where the list may work. An expanded list scope requires your approval. Until then, the list remains limited to its previously approved scope. You can remove a list in the extension settings and revoke website access in Firefox settings.
