Privacy policy for MechCounter PBS
MechCounter PBS by sparc5
MechCounter PBS enhances American Airlines PBS using the MechCounter service at kertob.americanplus.us.
When you use the extension on PBS, it reads relevant page information and sends requests over HTTPS to the MechCounter API. Depending on the page and request, this includes employee number, base, bid month, seniority rank and roster size, fleet and language qualifications, purser qualification, and requested sequence numbers or dates. It can also submit a short targeted-line-average message-board excerpt (up to 300 characters), together with line, reserve, bidder, rank, and roster counts.
The service uses this information to identify the applicable employee and bidding context, calculate and return estimates, and maintain target information. The service also updates stored language and purser qualifications from PBS information and stores target history. Employee-level request counters support rate limiting; some server error messages include employee identifiers.
The extension stores optional API tokens, temporary activation state, and records of previously submitted targets in browser-local extension storage. A saved token is transmitted to the API as an Authorization header when present. A token is not required for the current free flow. This token is not the user's American Airlines password.
Disabling or uninstalling the extension stops its future activity. The popup's “Forget posted targets” control clears only local submission markers; it does not delete server records or revoke a saved token. Uninstalling is not a server-side deletion request.
