Media X-Ray Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Text you choose to check: the selected text, text you paste into the popup, or the text of the article on the current tab. It is sent to our server only when you click the fact-check button or the context menu item.
- The URL of the page, when you check the current article.
- A pairing token, if you link the extension to the Media X-Ray Telegram Mini App, so your checks and limits sync with your account.

What we do NOT collect
- We do not track your browsing history and do not read pages you don't ask us to check.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

How data is used
- The submitted text is analyzed to extract claims and verify them against public sources. For this we use Google services (Gemini with Google Search and Google Fact Check Tools), which receive the text being checked.
- Results are stored so you can view them again and share a result if you choose.

Retention
- Fact-check results are deleted automatically after 60 days.
- You can unpair the extension at any time in the Mini App settings.
