Love this extension. It seems that you can edit the note either in Joplin or on a web site, and each will reflect the other.

Also if you use both Firefox and Chrome and install the extension in both, then notes written in one browser will show in the other.

Editing either the note title, or body, in Joplin is again reflected back to the browsers (I guess the extension uses the unique note ID)

And of course, the Joplin notes created will sync with other instances of Joplin and be available on other computers.
