When you connect Merlin Sync, it copies website cookies, including authentication cookies, and available localStorage from permitted open tabs to Merlin over HTTPS. Cookies may grant access to your website accounts. Copied sessions are encrypted in Merlin’s database and used by its cloud browser, which runs in Singapore. Private windows, Firefox containers, browser history and your password manager are excluded. Pausing stops new uploads; disconnecting removes copied sessions and revokes access.
