MetaPrism Capture imports bibliographic records from literature databases and citation export files into your MetaPrism systematic review projects.

Best-effort Web of Science / Clarivate when result metadata is visible on the page
Local RIS, BibTeX, and CSV files you choose to import

How it works

Sign in to your MetaPrism account (production or your own instance).
Select the project to receive new records.
Capture visible search results on a supported database page, or import a citation file.
Preview and deselect records before import.
Each import is logged in Search History with provenance for transparent, reproducible reviews.

What we read — and what we do not

The extension reads visible page metadata on declared literature hosts only. It does not bypass vendor authentication, scrape behind paywalls, or access content you cannot already see in your browser session.
Citation files are parsed locally from files you select; nothing is uploaded until you confirm import.
Access and refresh tokens are stored in browser extension local storage (chrome.storage.local). They are not placed in URLs.
Optional capture diagnostics record technical metadata only (host, adapter name, counts). They never include tokens, titles, abstracts, or full citation bodies.
The extension sends no remote analytics or telemetry.

Requirements

A MetaPrism account on https://metaprism.io or a compatible self-hosted instance.
Institutional or personal access to literature databases where applicable.
