Microsoft Purview Extension - Beta by Microsoft Corporation

In a security and compliance workflow, that is unacceptable. In a clean Microsoft 365/Purview environment where Edge and Chrome reliably enforce DLP and sensitivity-label controls, the Firefox add-on repeatedly fails to intercept uploads and handling of labeled content. No protection banners appear, no justification prompts are shown, and actions often fail silently. Troubleshooting is a dead end because there is no meaningful diagnostic logging or telemetry to work with, and the extension intermittently ignores an already authenticated corporate session. To make matters worse, the add-on asks for broad permissions while delivering virtually no protection, ships with thin documentation, no credible changelog or roadmap, and even carries the warning that it is not actively monitored by Mozilla an alarming detail for a security component.
The failure is easy to reproduce: install the add-on, sign in to Microsoft 365, open Outlook, SharePoint, or Teams, and attempt to upload or interact with a labeled or DLP-governed file. Where Edge or Chrome correctly block or request an override, Firefox does nothing or throws the user into an opaque failure with no explanation. The end result is operational confusion and a false sense of safety.
