- Rated 5 out of 5by Shako, 7 years agoBy far the best dark mode addon that I've tried. The others didn't even have customization options, of which this addon has many. Being able to set a time for dark mode to enable is also a very nice feature.
I also love the way Midnight Lizard handles images. Other addons I've tried either just inverted everything on the page, causing some images to look like x-rays, or just broke the site. Midnight Lizard actually lets you dim the images and doesn't invert the colors like other addons do.
I have come across visual glitches from time to time ( sites change from normal to dark in a split second ) but I suppose that can't be helped since some sites load quick before the addon can make its changes. This has happened very rarely.
Overall very pleased with this addon. Keep up the great work! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13230603, 7 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13585475, 7 years agoSeems to work well, but for me it clips the second part of the first character of the file name in Google Docs main list, at least. For example in the file "Exercise Dumbbell" the right side of the "E" is missing.
FYI. I run my 23 inch monitor in portrait orientation. Sometime pages get at bit squished from left to right so this might be the source of the problem?
Note I am visually impaired so it may just be me.
With just a short trial it seem like a good fit for folks like me.
It's good to learn of the app as a replacement to Screen Dimmer which I used all the time before the last upgrade.
I do not have clue how to change the default settings.
Is there a manual or instructions how to change the default settings?
Do you have shortcuts for them?Developer response
posted 7 years agoHello.
Please use "bug" icon in the Midnight Lizard settings window or this link:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!newtopic/midnight-lizard-support
to provide a bug report with a screenshot of the problem.
To change the default color scheme just choose one you like from the dropdown list on the right side of the settings window and press "Set as default".
This topic describes it with more details:

Please use "question" icon in the top left corner of the settings window or this link:

to find more tutorials or ask a new question.
For visually impaired people there are two recommended color schemes:
1) Yellow on Black
2) Green on Black
But it highly depends on the personal case. Choose what is suitable for you.
Best regards
Midnight Lizard. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13938508, 7 years agoIf you're looking for an addon that allows you to control which website gets dark shaded, this one will do it for you. But it is better than other dark themed addon because you can customize a lot of options, including changing how it colored the text and links to your liking.
Most powerful, you can exclude websites from this addon, so sites with built-in dark themes won't be affected by this addon. The addon's dark mode not only changes the webpage, but also the interface to match. Don't let the fact it has few reviews scare you, it's really the best dark addon I have found so far. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13966258, 7 years ago

Le saluda atentamente, Midnight Lizard - Rated 5 out of 5by ChoiceD, 7 years agoThis night mode and accessibility extension is great. Modify your websites so they look like YOU want them to look. Whether you want them dark, light or simply modified for increased contrast and greater usuability. Forget the rest, this is the best. Thank you Pavel!

Midnight Lizard is not like the other night mode and accessibility extensions – it’s akin to magic
for those seeking a simple manner in which to achieve overall performance and theming perfection. I have tried them all, and what sets ML apart, from the others, embraces the combination of fast loading, beautifully rendered pages that anyone can quickly tweak – in tandem with the fact that it works flawlessly on nearly any site I visit. This extension comes pre-loaded with several one-click themes plus ML will remember your on-the-fly adjustments for the next time you visit the page. Finally, the readability is unmatched via this extension, boasting enhanced syntax, and even a blue filter. Midnight Lizard makes your web surfing an elegant experience, while it preserves your eyes!
