MiniStill by thPhonG

Still turns your new tab into a calm, minimal start page.

A large live clock and a greeting that follows the time of day. Beneath them: a search bar, your favourite sites, and a short list of what matters today. Nothing else.

FEATURES

• Clock and date: 12-hour or 24-hour time, three date formats, an optional name in your greeting.
• Search: type or press "/" to jump to the search bar. Choose Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing or Brave.
• Shortcuts: add, edit, delete and reorder your own links. Icons are loaded straight from each site, with a clean fallback when one is missing. Only http and https addresses are accepted.
• Today's focus: up to three open tasks at a time. Finish them, edit them, or clear them. Unfinished tasks carry over to the next day.
• Appearance: light, dark, or follow your system. Choose a plain background or one of three soft scenes, and adjust how subtle it is. Text stays readable on all of them.
• Backup: export your data to a file and import it on another computer.
• Optional quote in the footer. Turn it off in Settings.

PRIVACY

Still has no account, no analytics and no ads. Your settings, shortcuts and tasks are stored only on your device, in the browser's extension storage. The developer cannot see them.

The only network requests Still makes are for shortcut icons, which are requested directly from the sites you saved, and for the search engine you choose when you search.

PERMISSIONS

Only "storage", to keep your settings, shortcuts and tasks on your device. Still replaces the new tab page; it does not change your default search engine or your home page.

Requires Firefox 140 or newer.
