Moly by Nireus79
Moly asks the one question that matters before you send a message, then helps you write it. Your data stays on your computer. Needs the free Moly app (Windows, Mac, Linux).

About this extension
Moly is a writing coach for the messages that matter: to a landlord, a colleague, a partner, a customer. Before you send, it asks the one question that is missing, then
helps you write. It never decides for you.
HOW IT WORKS
• Describe what you want to say, to whom, and why.
• Moly asks one question about what is missing (who the person is, what you want).
• When it knows enough, it helps you write the message. You can skip the questions at any time.
• Choose how Moly sounds in Settings: friendly, professional, supportive, analytical, or humorous. Start a new chat at any time.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your conversations are stored on your own computer, in an encrypted database.
• Use a model on your computer (Ollama) and nothing leaves it, or use your own Claude or OpenAI key (OpenAI support is experimental in this beta), protected by a passphrase.
• No account, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising network. Free and open source (MIT).
• A small card with a message from Moly or a sponsor may appear below the writing box. Every card is labelled "Sponsored". It loads nothing from the internet, and you can
hide it until you open Moly again.
YOU STAY IN CONTROL
• Export everything Moly stored about you as one file, or delete it all, in Settings.
• Read the code: github.com/Nireus79/Moly
IMPORTANT: THE MOLY APP
Moly has two parts: this add-on and a small app on your computer that starts and stops with your browser. The add-on shows installation steps on first use. Download the app:
github.com/Nireus79/Moly/releases (Windows, Mac and Linux).
GOOD TO KNOW
• Open the sidebar with the Moly button or View > Sidebar > Moly. To put it on the right, use Settings > General > Browser Layout > Show sidebar on the right.
• A model on a computer without a graphics card can take minutes to answer. Moly shows your message right away and waits.
• Tested on Linux. Windows and Mac builds exist but have had less testing with Firefox.
• Moly is a writing coach, not a crisis, medical or legal service.
• Beta: questions and problems to Hermes_creative@proton.me.
