About this extension

Monotube restyles YouTube as a printed report: dense, monospaced, black and white, ruled into cells. Nothing decorative survives.

What changes
- Pure black background in dark mode, so OLED panels save power
- Monospaced type throughout, with a fixed type scale
- Zero border radius, everywhere
- Two line weights: rules between sections, hairlines between rows
- Colour is reserved for red, and red is reserved for urgency: live badges, notifications, resume markers
- Thumbnails keep their real colours

Toggles (click the toolbar icon)
- Hide Shorts
- Hide comments
- Hide the Explore and "More from YouTube" sidebar sections
- Hide the Create button

Settings sync across your Firefox profiles. Monotube collects no data and makes no network requests.
