About this extension
MoziTile turns one tab into a workspace of web pages, side by side, like panes in a terminal or a code editor.
<b>Arrange</b>
• Split any page right or down, or add a new one (up to 16 per view).
• Resize by dragging the gaps between pages; double-click to equalize.
• Drag a page by its header to move it: a preview shows exactly where it lands. Drop on an edge to place it there, on the center to swap, on the window border to span a whole side.
• One-click layouts: columns, rows, grid, main + stack.
• Undo everything (Ctrl/⌘+Z): no gesture can break your setup.
<b>Organize</b>
• Name each view ("Project X research", "Social feeds"); the name becomes the tab title.
• Right-click a link, a page or a tab: "Open link in / Add page to MoziTile" sends it to one of your views, or a new one.
• Your views live in the tab URL: reload, restore or bookmark them.
• Share a link that opens the same pages for anyone with MoziTile.
<b>Two modes</b>
• Tab mode (default): all pages inside one tab.
• Window mode: each page in its own browser window, arranged on screen with the same layout and controlled from the MoziTile tab. Every site works with all browser features.
<b>Important: sites that refuse to be embedded</b>
Many sites (Google, GitHub, YouTube…) forbid being displayed inside another page, with the X-Frame-Options and Content-Security-Policy headers. To show them in tab mode, MoziTile removes these two headers from the pages loaded in its tiles, only inside MoziTile tabs. Nothing changes in your other tabs. Inside MoziTile tabs, tiled pages therefore lose their Content Security Policy. If you prefer not to, use window mode, which never touches any header. <b>Privacy</b>
No data collection, no analytics, no remote server. Share links keep their content after the "#", which is never sent to any server.
