- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12122868, 7 years agoSuggestion:
Currently:
When you open a link in "Tab 1 - Container A" that is set to open in Container B, the link opens in "Tab 2 - Container B).
Improvement(?):
I think it would be better if the link opened in "Tab A - Container B". Meaning that (Tab 1 - Container A) changes to (Tab 1 - Container B)
Second Suggestion: Fix to a bug? = sometimes when I open a link that opens in a new container, 2 tabs open instead of 1 - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13910094, 7 years agoOnly reason I don't give it 5 stars is because It doesn't sync container settings between devices.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13910051, 7 years agoNIce add-on, but one thing I cannot seem to do is to pre-define websites to open in different containers so I don't have to choose container every time I load that website. Perhaps I have missed something.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13909021, 7 years agoSeems to work great so far, but I have a few suggestions.
Currently it doesn't appear that your settings sync between devices. I've got FireFox installed on both my work computer and my home computer, logged in on my personal email and everything synced between the two. I spent some time last night setting up my containers, and setting certain sites to only open in specific containers, etc. When I logged in on my work laptop, it shows all the original containers (none of the new ones I setup), and when I visit certain sites, they don't default to the container I configured on my home computer. This functionality would be great to have.
Another suggestion would be able to move an existing tab/site into a container. When I installed the addon, I had several tabs open. I had to open a specific container tab, then copy/paste the URL from the generic tab, to the container tab. It also doesn't appear to let you move the tab from one container to another.
I'm still getting used to the addon, so maybe this little nuances aren't as big of a deal, especially as I setup some default behaviors, but for me the biggest thing would be addon settings/containers syncing across browsers.
Edit: Oh, once you get the syncing of settings across devices, enabling this addon for mobile use would be awesome. - Rated 4 out of 5by Josh, 7 years agoFantastic extension. I no longer need to run multiple browsers, I am now strictly a Firefox user.
Feature suggestions:
Allow manually entering websites.
Allow randomizing browser fingerprint per container. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13097488, 7 years agoGreat idea. Facebook and Google have been isolated. However, I think it would be more intuitive if you could right click on the tab and click "Add to Container X" rather than first having to open the tab in container.
Also, what are the advantages of using this versus having tracking protection enabled all of time? - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13296394, 7 years agoGood start but needs more work. Mainly I want to tie certain sites to certain containers, at least for bookmarked sites. For example, I want my banking site automatically open in the banking container every time. Currently the process to do so is somewhat cumbersome and has to be repeated every single time. That's quite annoying.

Step 2: Firefox Browser Profiles!!! - Rated 4 out of 5by giggio, 7 years agoI love it. If only it worked on Firefox for Android... it would get 5 stars.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13391190, 7 years agogenius! Please make this as an default feature.
an opion to say a bookmark should open in a container would be great. - Rated 4 out of 5by Martijn, 7 years agoVery nice way to use separate profiles side-by-side.
However, it would be nice if the container could be specified in bookmarks. More specifically, in bookmarks that are supposed to open in the side bar. Those now always appear to use the 'no container' profile. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13892393, 7 years agoIt would be useful to be able to change the container of a currently opened tab.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13258823, 7 years agoI love this extension, but that the configs don't sync with my firefox account is a big problem.
Putting sites into appropriate containers is not trivial. Having to do this on every computer, or worse, losing your configs... is very discouraging.
The documentation encourages using it to manage multiple accounts on the same platform, however this usecase is not baked in. The default containers are not a bad suggestion. I used some of them. My custom containers centered around the third-party authentication and the specific account. So, I open youtube in a personal google account. I open google drive in a container for my work gsuite account.
Maybe some more guidance could be given on how to use containers. My big question is, does it make sense to separate websites that I authenticate with via twitter from websites I authenticate via facebook?
I think some built-in UX around organizing websites into containers based on specific authentication accounts could be a great feature. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13881607, 7 years agoThe best extension for Firefox. Not is perfect, but is excellent.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13871364, 7 years agoI work in the Software Security field. One of my biggest paranoias is that a rogue site will be able to access one of my protected sites, such as banks or email. In the past, I was able to mitigate this by using different profiles in Chrome, but that required separate browsers to be running. Firefox had profiles, but I couldn't open them simultaneously, which made them useless. Now with Firefox containers, I am opening my email in separate contexts from my shopping, and other contexts. I have separate containers for different roles in trusted platforms. The big win is that I can set defaults for my sites. For instance, Amazon always opens in my shopping container. Sweet.
The only reason I cannot give this five stars is because of this one criticism. Links from my email open by default in the same container as my email. This is a security shortcoming because it opens me up to phishing attacks. You can work around using the context menu and opening in a specific container, but I would rather it be a default. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13858679, 7 years agoGreat Add-on!!
Nice to tidy up and organize Tabs. I like the possibility to easily separate websites, which shouldn't get in touch.
Just needs some additional configuration-tools +sync!
-rearranging containers, inclusive default (as I need it), is a must have! (I need default Tabs at the end)
-Pages in a container+settings(like always open in container X) have to be synced to other firefox-devices!!
-also to android
-more symbols colors
(- Advanced Options)
These point are not given at the time I reviewed it!
..would be nearly perfect, improves my experience a lot!
I really want to give it 5 Stars!!!
