    Version 0.3.0

    Released Jul 8, 2026 - 63.32 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
Sync robustness + a resync escape hatch for viewers who drift from the room.

    New
Resync (self-only). When your player drifts from the room clock you get a prominent, dismissible "You're N s ahead/behind — Resync me" pill over the video (plus a top-bar button and a button on your own row in Members). Resync snaps only you back to the room — it never moves anyone else. For own-tab (site) sources the pill also shows inside the streaming tab, even with the widget minimized/closed.
Who's where. Each viewer now shows their live playback position, with an "out of sync" chip when they've drifted — in the Members list and in the widget's new Activity tab.
Widget reorg. GIF search moved above its results; tabs grouped into Chat · GIF (interaction) and Subs · Activity (player); the Activity tab shows who's watching, their positions, and the room's event feed.
    Fixed
Genuine play/pause on slow custom players (which resolve a click into playback asynchronously) were being dropped and never reached the room — the gesture window was widened to catch them.
A viewer could silently detach from the room clock (a site auto-resuming a paused video, or a dropped cross-tab message) with nothing to correct it. A reconcile heartbeat now re-asserts the room's position, and a site that auto-resumes a paused video is re-paused locally the instant it happens — so it reads as "paused" instead of a play-then-snap loop.
Web + server are already deployed. Update the extension for the in-tab features; older installs keep working (the sync protocol is additive).

    Version 0.2.5

    Released Jun 29, 2026 - 61.54 KB
Works with firefox 58.0 and later
First release under the mutsu name (formerly sixseven) — same extension + room app, rebranded. Existing installs update in place (the add-on id is unchanged).

✨ Watching on sites that block embedding (Netflix-style)
A clear "Watch in your own tab" path when a source won't embed, with a tidy loading cover instead of the browser's raw "refused to connect" page.
Your already-open tab is paired automatically — no extra "Open tab" click.
"Play this page for everyone" moves the whole room to a new title (respects control mode); other viewers' tabs follow.
    🪟 In-tab widget
Cleaner header: the room name links back to the room tab, plus dedicated minimize (to a floating bubble) and close buttons.
The toolbar popup shows its controls instantly (no wait for the page scan).
    🔔 Update awareness
The room page now nudges you when a newer mutsu extension is available.
    🐛 Fixes
"Reopen tab" focuses the existing tab instead of spawning duplicates.
The in-tab widget is removed when the room switches to an embeddable source.
Faster, more reliable detection of sources that won't embed.

Works with firefox 58.0 and later
Smoother watching on sites that can't be embedded (Netflix-style)
    - When a source won't load in the room, you get a clear "Watch in your own tab" action instead of a bare "refused to connect" page; a tidy "Loading…" cover explains the wait.
    - If you already have that site open, your tab is paired automatically — no extra click.
    - New: "Play this page for everyone" — browse to a different title and push it to the whole room (respects control mode); everyone's tab follows.

In-tab widget — cleaner header: room name links to the room tab, plus dedicated minimize (to a bubble) and close buttons; closing shows how to reopen it.

Popup — widget controls and status appear instantly; a "page with player" is now offered as a watch-in-your-own-tab source.

Fixes — "Reopen tab" focuses the existing tab instead of opening duplicates; the widget is removed when the room switches to an embeddable source.
