Privacy policy for My10mail — Temporary Email
My10mail — Temporary Email by My10mail
Privacy Policy — My10mail browser extension
Last updated: 13 September 2026
What this extension does
My10mail creates a temporary (disposable) email address and displays the messages that arrive at it,
directly from your browser toolbar. No registration, account or password is required.
What data is handled
- The temporary email address you generate, and the messages received at that address. Both are
transmitted only to my10mail.com, the service this extension belongs to, so that the extension can
show your inbox. This is the core functionality of the extension and it cannot work without it.
- Messages are temporary: the mailbox and its contents are deleted automatically when the mailbox
timer expires (10 minutes by default, extendable by you). They are not used for any other purpose.
What is stored locally in your browser
Your settings (theme, the "auto-generate address" toggle), the current address and the mailbox access
token are stored locally using the browser's storage API. They never leave your browser except as part
of the address/inbox requests described above.
What this extension does NOT do
- No analytics, no usage tracking, no advertising, no profiling.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- No collection of your browsing history, search terms, bookmarks, location, or contacts.
- No remote code: all code is contained in the published package.
Data retention and your control
Temporary mailboxes are deleted automatically when they expire. If you have linked an address to an
optional paid account on my10mail.com, messages for that address are kept while the plan is active and
deleted after it expires. You can stop all data flow at any time by removing the extension or by
generating a new address.
