NeoRad QR version history - 3 versions
  • Be careful with old versions! These versions are displayed for testing and reference purposes. You should always use the latest version of an add-on.

  • Latest version

    Version 1.1.1

    Released May 21, 2026 - 3.53 MB
Works with firefox 142.0 and later
    Version 1.1.1 — 21 May 2026

    Bug Fixes
    • Local IP link detection fixed — Links copied from a local NeoRad server (e.g. on a hospital's internal network) were never detected and no QR was generated. The extension now reliably intercepts the copy action directly within the NeoRad page, regardless of whether it is accessed over HTTP or HTTPS. Applies to both Chrome and Firefox.
    • Local IP link conversion fixed — When NeoRad runs on a standard port, the generated link does not include a port number. These links are now correctly recognised and converted to the configured public URL.
    • Alert chime now plays reliably — The notification chime was silently blocked by the browser's autoplay policy when the QR appeared automatically. The chime now plays correctly in all scenarios.

    New Features:
    1. QR displayed as page overlay
The QR code now appears as a centred card directly on the NeoRad page with a dark backdrop, instead of a separate window that could hide behind the browser. Close it by clicking the red × button in the top-right corner, clicking anywhere on the dark backdrop, or using the Clear & Close button inside the card.
    1. Once shown, not shown again automatically
Once a QR has been generated for a link it is added to the Recent Links list and will not pop up again automatically while it remains there. The doctor can show it again at any time from the Recent Links list.
    2. "Show QR" from history uses overlay
Clicking Show QR from the Recent Links list now uses the same page overlay rather than opening a separate window.
    3. Clipboard behaviour setting
A new setting controls whether the clipboard is cleared when the QR auto-closes after the countdown. Default is on. When turned off, the study link stays in the clipboard after the QR closes — useful for pasting into an email, WhatsApp, or a document. The Clear & Close button always clears the clipboard regardless of this setting.
    4. Faster detection
Clipboard check interval reduced from 1 second to 0.5 seconds.
    5. Report link support
The extension now handles all NeoRad link types, not just viewer links. Report links and any other URLs generated from the configured local IP are automatically converted to the public cloud URL.
    6. Clipboard upgrade
When a local NeoRad link is copied, the clipboard is silently updated to the public cloud URL the moment the QR appears — so pasting it anywhere gives the cloud link directly. This can be turned off in Settings under Clipboard Upgrade.

    What's New ?

    Automatic QR Generation
The QR code now appears automatically the moment you copy a NeoRad share link — no need to click the extension icon. Simply hit Copy in NeoRad's share dialog and the QR window opens on its own, ready to scan.

    Recent Links History
Clicking the extension icon now shows your last 5 generated QR links. Tap any link to bring up its QR code instantly. The most recently used link always moves to the top of the list.

    QR Window Improvements
    - The QR window opens centered on your screen.
    - A countdown bar below the QR shows how much time remains before it closes automatically.
    - A Clear & Close button lets you dismiss the QR immediately after scanning, without waiting for the countdown.
    - The window cannot be accidentally resized or maximized.

    Configurable Auto-Close Timer
You can now set how long the QR window stays open — anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds — using a slider in the settings page. Default is 30 seconds.

    Audio Feedback
    - A soft chime plays when a QR code is generated.
    - Distinct tones play for warnings, confirmations, and cancellations.
    - Audio feedback can be switched on or off from the settings page using the Audio: ON / OFF toggle.

    Settings Page Improvements
    - The extension now checks whether your NeoRad server is reachable before saving settings, and warns you if it cannot be reached.
    - A confirmation is shown if you try to overwrite existing settings.
    - All dialogs (save, clear, warnings) now use a clean in-page popup with the NeoRad QR title.
    - Developer contact details are available in settings under Show Developer Details.
    - A privacy notice confirms that all your data stays on your device.
    - Clear History button added to remove saved recent links.
    - Settings icon in the history view gives quick access to the settings page.
    - The recent links history view automatically matches your browser's light or dark theme.

    Bug Fixes
    • QR codes are now correctly generated for all NeoRad sites, not just the default one. Previously, links for other sites were not recognized even after saving the correct settings.
    • The Clear Settings button now works correctly — settings are fully removed when cleared.
    • Entering a full address (e.g. https://sitename.sanrad.net) in the host field no longer causes issues — the extension handles it gracefully.
