- Rated 4 out of 5by Alfred Jorrel Bayle, 2 months agoI am re-working my review from the previous 2 star up to 4 stars. When I initially used this add-on, it worked perfectly. But then a couple months later it just suddenly stopped. A video I had watched a week prior at 1080, suddenly would only play in 950 despite numerous attempts to try and fix it, so I gave a 2-star. However, I tried it again now and the add-on is working again. I don't know if it was on the Netflix side or the Dev side of things. It works now but it took a fair amount of reinstalls and test runs to finally see 1080 registered on the Netflix info interface again. Due to these uncertainties, I can only in good conscience give 4-stars. The resume function also doesn't seem to work for every video, most prominently with anime shows.

posted 2 months agoHey Alfred,
Are you experiencing the issue with *all* titles, or just a few select ones? The resolution you describe is exactly the result of a restriction from Netflix for higher-quality streams being available. As stated in the description of this addon, "some titles may not be available to stream in HD 1080p/1080p+ via web browser, likely due to Netflix codec and licensing requirements". Unfortunately, addons can only use what is available to them. Hopefully, in the future, Netflix will make more stream formats available. Try a few other titles and check your resolution. If you see 1080p, please reconsider your rating due to other titles not working being no fault of the addon. If further assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to reach out! Thank you for your review! support@netflux.me - Rated 5 out of 5by Heinrich Lunge, 2 months agoIt works like a charm, I wish there was an equivalent for Disney+, Max and Prime Video. Anyway, good job.

- Rated 3 out of 5by LoopyMind, 4 months agodoesn't appear to be working? Not sure if this is the actual resolution next to Bit-rate (a/v) (960x540) but that doesn't change no matter what I watch. (could just be that i picked a few that aren't 1080P ...I would have thought Venom would be???)
Developer response
posted 4 months agoThis is is likely due to a limitation from Netflix and/or features available via web browser (codecs, etc.). The addon will always choose the best quality available based on the settings chosen. You might try a few other titles to see if the issue persists. If they work as expected, then the aforementioned would likely be the cause. The resolution is the last parameter listed next to "Playing bitrate". As a mention, it will typically take a few moments to reach full resolution due to filling the streaming buffer from Netflix. If further assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to reach out! - Rated 5 out of 5by Yevon, 4 months agoworks great ! thank you very much for this addon finally netflix works again on firefox it was such a pain trying to get 1080p on pc. If you could integrate prime video (because it sometimes thinks my high end gaming pc is to weak for 1080p) that would be great.

posted 4 months agoThis is normal behavior and due to filling the streaming buffer from Netflix. Thank you for your review, it is greatly appreciated! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17792553, 5 months agoNetflix app on the Microsoft Store started requiring Microsoft Edge with the latest update so I went back to using it in Firefox. The addon does what it exactly says. However I would like to know if the dev can allow us to select specific codecs like AVC, AVC-high, VP9 and AV1 alongside the resolution selector. Currently 1080p defaults to VP9 and 1080p+ defaults to AVC-high.
