NetParty keeps everyone in a party on the same moment of the same video. When anyone plays, pauses or skips, everyone follows. Chat sits beside the player instead of on top of it.

Works on:
• Netflix (netflix.com/watch/…)
• JioHotstar (movies, shows and episodes)
• YouTube (regular videos. Shorts and live streams aren't supported)

How it works
1. Open a title and press play.
2. Click the NetParty button in the toolbar and choose "Start a party", or use the "Start a NetParty" button on the page. The invite link is copied for you.
3. Send the link to your friends. It opens a page that takes them to the same title, already in sync.

Features
• Playback sync: play, pause, seek and episode changes follow the party
• End-to-end encrypted chat: messages, reactions, names and profile pictures are encrypted in your browser. The key only exists in the invite link (after the #), so the server can't read your chat
• Chat docked beside the video: the player shrinks to make room, and you can hide the panel any time. Typing in chat never sets off the site's keyboard shortcuts
• Emoji reactions that float up over everyone's video, also in fullscreen
• GIFs from KLIPY, with search suggestions based on what you're watching
• Voice chat, straight between friends' browsers (peer to peer), with mute and volume controls
• Emoji profile pictures, an emoji picker and clickable links
• Host controls: let only the host control playback
• No account and no sign-up. No ads, no analytics, no tracking

Good to know
• Everyone in the party needs NetParty, and for Netflix and JioHotstar, their own subscription to that service. NetParty doesn't share or stream video, it only keeps each person's own player in sync.
• Voice chat connects browsers directly and has no relay server, so it may not connect on some restrictive networks (some office, school or mobile networks). Text chat and sync still work there.
• Anyone with the full invite link can join the party and read its chat, so share it only with people you want there.
