I use FF 59 64-bit, switch off all adds, and still focus not working. When I use new tab (about:home), and check box focus on site, there is no focus. There is no focus on address bar, and there is no focus on new tab (about:home).
The previous New Tab Override version worked fine.Developer response
posted 7 years agoPlease test without other add-ons. I can't reproduce the issue. Focus on site works as expected in Firefox 59. If you still have a problem please file an issue on GitHub with more details. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13849800, 7 years agoI love the fact that my predetermined homepage, Bing, opens every time I open a new tab. I hate having all the favorites or whatever they are showing up and then having to click on Bing to get it to open in the newly opened tab. To me it's about like saying, "Are you sure that's what you want to do?" Yes! It's exactly what I want to happen everytime.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Andre Bell, 7 years agoThank you thank you thank you!! The default new tab of whatever FF version I was originally using had tons of media sites making my CPU hit 100%. This is a mid range gaming laptop with plenty of power but still struggled when hit with forced media in multiple tabs. Now with all that stuff disabled on new tabs I'm at 0% or 1% when idling on a blank tab. Also, this eliminated personal privacy issues b/c no longer dealing with 'top sites' or other forced content showing unless I want that content showing. Thx

The new better tab extension are now fully supporting Access to local files via local URL. The new working new tab extension you can find here:

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13782463, 7 years agoShift command T did not work (Ctrl Shift T) because the new tab override would prevent previously closed webpages to open.

posted 7 years agoPlease tell me what is missing if you give only four stars. Without comment a review is not very useful because I, as developer of the add-on, does not know what I have to improve to make you happy. Thank you. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13773971, 7 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13770695, 7 years agoThe new tab extension works exactly how I like. Except I would love it if there was an option that stops the last tab from closing unless you click the close button.
* Edit
Right now ctrl W will close the current tab, if you have lots of tabs open and you hit ctrl w several times it will close them all and eventually close the browser window. It would be nice to check a box to turn this option on or off.
To prevent this from happening right now you have to go into the Firefox preferences: about:config and set the browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab pref to false.
BTW, being able to focus on window and usability are the main reasons this add-on is superior to all the other "new tab" type add-ons out there right now. Great Job!Developer response
