- Rated 4 out of 5by Mountain Man, 5 years agoGood interface and ability to customize. Just wish it would show recently visited/most visited sites like the default new tab.

Accessing the recently visited/most visited sites would require user permissions and handling of private user data. I am trying very hard to avoid handling private user date. So for the moment that is out of scope of the project. - Rated 5 out of 5by smaragdus, 5 years agoI finally found the perfect speed dial extension and I gladly replaced Speed Dial 2 with nightTab as the latter is just superb- free, cross browser and open source, highly customizable (it offers an abundance of options) slick interface (many themes available), fluently working export/import, no privacy concerns and on top of that the developer is very helpful and responsive. In conclusion- nightTab is an exquisite extension which offers enough options to please the pickiest of users.
- Rated 5 out of 5by nick, 5 years agoBeen using nightTab for a little while now. It's incredibly easy to configure and customize, and I love having my bookmarks off of the toolbar to reclaim even a little screen real estate. Pinning the nightTab tab so it's there every time I open the browser is great. Dev is super responsive on GitHub, and it took less than a week to get a suggestion implemented into the extension. I had self-hosted my own startpage for a while, but I keep coming back to this for now.

- Rated 5 out of 5by syclineye, 5 years agoIt's great! But there seems to be a problem in data recovery. When I import the JSON file exported by another device, it shows that this is not a JSON file. I had to manually add my bookmark again

Everything that I look for in an extension is here. Kudos zombieFox
- Rated 5 out of 5by Tomi Antenna, 5 years agoOh my god thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Why is it so hard for so many to understand basic, non-obtrusive design? This is simple, provides so much functionality and configurability without endless attempts at stealing my attention and assaulting me with stupid shit.
I wish the whole Internet would be like this. - Rated 5 out of 5by Girts, 5 years agoMuch can not be said, everything is already in previous reports. Indeed, this is the BEST OFFLINE start page that has been searched for so long. Of course I have one that is more like practical and not so pretty. Simple settings, nice looks, ready-made themes. Looks awesome on a 4K display. Keep it up !!!! There is a question to the developer: I couldn't import the exported data on another computer, the JSON file structure looks wrong.

posted 5 years agoThanks! If you raise an issue on the repo (https://github.com/zombieFox/nightTab/issues) and share the JSON file I can investigate and see what the problem is. - Rated 5 out of 5by sodaTab, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15272654, 6 years agoThe extension looks awesome! One small suggestion though- it would be great if you could allow the user to set their own timezones. The about:config option of resist.fingerprinting.true changes the time to UTC by default, and nighttab's clock is directly based off the browser time. Would be great if the clock could actually report the correct time for once.

posted 5 years agoThank you! Would you mind adding an issue ticket on the project repo (https://github.com/zombieFox/nightTab/issues) with as many details as you can provide please? Do include what OS you use, which version of Firefox and any steps I can take to recreate the issue. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14099385, 6 years ago
