- Rated 5 out of 5by Howard, 5 years agoI don't know why Firefox otherwise insists on saving the file instead of just displaying it. This plug-in did a great job of seamlessly resolving that, whether I open the PDF from within Firefox, or I open it by double-clicking the file on my desktop. Works great!

- Rated 4 out of 5by mushba, 5 years agogood add on, just taking a star off because when this extension is enabled, it doesn't allow me to download PDFs from google (gmail, google docs, etc). I realised this after months of tinkering around so thought I should let you know. I did set this up as mentioned in the About.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13841492, 6 years agoThank you so much for doing this. I have been annoyed of the built in PDF handling since I switched to FF a year back. This is great!

Download the PDF file to the Download folder instead of displaying it.Developer response
posted 6 years agoSome servers are misconfigured and don't send a correct PDF content-type header. In this case the addon has no way to tell that it's a PDF and the file will be downloaded. If you send me a link to the PDF I can check if it's a bug or a server issue. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14392765, 6 years agoDoes what it says, but why does Firefox need "view all website data" permission just to change the content-disposition header?
Developer response
posted 6 years agoThe addon requires the minimal permissions to change the headers which are webRequest and webRequestBlocking for all URLs. Firefox translates this to the "access all website data" permission, nothing I can do about it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14391348, 6 years ago
